This is a quick example of a home in Detroit, bought for 1000 bucks…. No that was not a typo. The water bill from the broken pipes was 3 times the cost of the house!
We spent our spring Break with the Mac Ave Community Church. We worked on this house for a family with 8 kids. They are ex drug dealers who have changed lives by coming to know Jesus, and living in the community of Mac Ave Church.
Kickin it in the D, was an amazing experience.
Last night, Lauren and I went to an Ellery house show at the Seifferts. Here is a sample of their music. . . it was so perfect.
Check out the new dining room. Took most of Friday night and all day Saturday, but it looks awesome in my opinion. Lauren did a great job picking out a deep purple and a light blue green. Making the house better one room at a time!
Today I went to a Job Fair on Campus regardless of the the snow. I have three interviews tomorrow morning! Unfortunately, all of the companies I am talking to at this point are outside of Bowling Green. You really have to be willing to relocate in this job market. Besides, there is not much industry in Bowling Green.
I did talk to two companies today that could be close. I have to wait until the end of the week to hear if I get to interview with them.
I am still super bummed that the Google interview didn’t get me the job. How cool would it have been to work for Google!?! At lease I get to say I interviewed with them.
Today is my birthday! We were going to be gone all day visiting my parents so we decided to bring Spencer with us. We also visited Lauren’s Dad and took little bubba along. Well, they happen to have a little puppy named Frankie. Frankie and Spency hit it off right away. . . I didn’t realize how hard puppies play! I was worried for his life at one point. They were so thirsty that they were drinking out of the same bowl. Now our guy is konked out in his little bed. We need to tire him out more often.
